After a BBC promotion of Bob Morton's desires(supported by MP Stella Creasy, a promoter of the industry)to re-open Walthamstow Greyhound Track(The 'Stow')being simply an issue of 'heritage' v 'housing', Waltham Forest Council have organised a PUBLIC meeting on the future of the 'Stow' for Monday 23rd Jan.
Waltham Forest Council must regard the abuse of greyhounds, spoken of as 'heritage' as a reality that must not be expanded, supported or welcomed.
Please write a polite email to Walthamstow Councillors and Residents' Associations, to raise awareness of an industry which is dependant on the abuse of greyhounds in order to sustain its existence.
Tens of thousands of greyhounds are bred each year for the industry - the majority do not get to live their long lives out through a retirement.
Please see and include in your emails this campaign video.
And this video, showing how those how demand the return of racing to Walthamstow, only think of the industry's survival with no regards to the Walthamstow community.
